| Admission Requirements | University requirements: - A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or its equivalent from a foreign institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in all work attempted in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate study.
Additional program requirements: - Official transcripts from all attended institutions
- Three letters of reference
- Copy of teaching certificate
- Letter of intent (250-500 words)
- reasons for interest into the program
- topics and areas of interest
- goals after completion
- double-spaced with 12 point font
- Resume
- list relevant work to teaching and related experiences
- limit to 1-2 pages
Students should be aware that admission into any graduate program is granted on a competitive basis. Students meeting minimum requirements may be denied admission based on such factors as program capacity or academic discretion. Likewise, students may be considered for admission as an exception if stated admissions criteria are not met. |
| THE PROGRAM |
| Program Overview | The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Professional Education, is designed to meet the needs of students with a teacher certification who wish to pursue a graduate degree. The program consists of 36 semester hours of core and major requirements. This program does not carry additional endorsements. |

| Special Notes about the Program | This program provides advanced education for the region's secondary school educators. Certificate programs offered with Curriculum and Instruction are not eligible for financial aid except for students pursuing their initial teacher certification.
