Graduate Assistant Handbook

Graduate Assistantships are state classified university positions supported with university or grant funds.  The Graduate School has designed the following minimum guidelines and procedures in reference to best practices at other institutions, and to satisfy state and accreditation requirements for assistantship governance and understanding.  Hiring departments may develop further guidelines and procedures.

 

Hiring units and Graduate Assistants are equally responsible for understanding and abiding by these regulations.  All questions should be directed to the Director of the Graduate School.
