Application Deadlines

The MBA is the largest graduate program at UNF. Therefore, applicants are highly encouraged to submit applications well before July 1st for fall admission to ensure advising opportunity, registration guidance, and course availability.

Admission Requirements

University requirements:

 

  1. A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or its equivalent from a foreign institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in all work attempted in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate study. All prospective students are encouraged to apply. Those whose GPA is below a 3.0, but have a total required score in one of the formulas below will be considered for admission.

Additional program requirements:

  1. Official transcripts from all attended institutions
  2. Official GMAT or GRE scores
    • GRE scores (Institutional Code: 5490):
      • Prior to July 1, 2011:  minimum 1000 total score
      • After July 1, 2011:   minimum 145 verbal and 150 quantitative
    • GMAT scores:
      • Minimum 500 total score 

Applicants with less than 3.0 may be admitted on an exception basis pending review of an index formula computed using their GPA and GRE/GMAT scores. 

Please note: Applicants must meet the required minimum test scores on the GMAT or GRE prior to consideration for admissions on an exceptions basis using an index formula.  

The appropriate formulaic score for admission is as follows:  

    • For GMAT exam:   (200 x GPA) + GMAT total score = 1050 or better 
    • For GRE exam:     (200 x GPA) + GRE total score = 845 or better

THE PROGRAM
Program Overview The Coggin College of Business has always emphasized academic excellence through its curricula and faculty. The MBA program focuses on developing a general management perspective and offers intensive graduate-level study in accounting, economics, decision sciences, finance, management, and marketing. Throughout the program, emphasis is given to policy formulation and the interrelationships of business disciplines. Applications in ethics, total quality management, international business, information technology, and value-based management are included in anticipation of 21st century business education.
