Resolved Issues in Blackboard 9.1 SP6

  • Students taking assessments using Internet Explorer 9 cannot proceed during the assessment when they click the Save Answer button next to a question in an assessment which displays questions one at a time.
  • Test link in Blackboard Content Areas displays on the Add Interactive Tool button rather than on the Create Assessment button.
  • Students using Safari and Firefox on a Mac are not able to view .pdf files in Content Areas added using the Build Content > File option. They receive a plugin missing message.
  •  Instructors receive the message: "An error occurred. Contact the System Administrator." when attempting to view Assignments in the Grade Center from a column which is not assigned to a category.
  • Course Calendar does not display correctly in month view in Internet Explorer.
  • Students can't access Course Documents added via Course Copy.
  • Course Announcements are sent from noreply@unf.edu rather than from the instructor's email.
  • Course Copy notifications are sent before Course Copies are complete.
  • Cancel and View Next buttons in the Grade Center do not work for instructors.
  • Grade Center Calculated Column displays do not update after changes unless a course is exited and re-entered.
  • Instructors cannot submit student assessment attempts in the Grade Center.
  • Editing SCORM content prevents SCORM content from launching.
  • Moving Announcements Bar to bottom of page causes the bar to disappear and the Control Panel to stop working.
  • Files added to an Assignment cannot be viewed by students if a Link Title is applied to the file when creating the Assignment.
  • There are duplicate action entries in the context menu of Assignment items in the Grade Center. These entries are the Assignment File Download and Item File Clean Up.
  • Course Menus show as "Hidden" when logged in as an instructor accessing an Unavailable course in Edit Mode.

Resolved Issues in Previous Versions

  • Some instructors receive error messages when copying single content items between courses.
  • Course Copies retain content links to the sourse course causing broken content links.
  • Students receiving an error (The specified resource was not found, or you do not have permission to access it.) on some contents Course Copied prior to the upgrade to Blackboard 9.1.
  • Instructors trying to submit assessment attempts left in progreess by students are getting an error message when using the Submit Attempt button on the Grade Test page.
  • This message: Access denied, you do not have permission to perform this action...appears when attempting to save a grade (and click next) in Internet Explorer.

  • Students get an Access Denied error when reviewing test answers in a one-at-a-time test while still in test session.

  • Course Copy: Browse for courses - when users click "created" to sort by date created they encounter a java error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: Unknown property 'dtCreated' For reference, the Error ID is 3d4d7337-00e2-46da-84b3-b84c914e0fcd.
  • Students receive a "The following questions may be incomplete: x, x, x. Continue?" message when submitting an assessment in which they clicked the Save Answer button next to one or more questions even though the answers are clearly marked.
  • The instructor of a course receives a "Not Implemented" error when navigating anywhere in the course when enrolled in more than 10 course groups.
  • During a Course Copy the user cannot properly copy a graded forum if the Grade Center is not also copied. The copied forum cannot be edited or graded in the destination course and a new grade column cannot be re-established.
  • When using IE 8, the vertical scroll bar does not display in the Grade Center. This prevents moving up and down the list of students and can prevent all users from being visible.
  • Some users are unable to open .docx files.
  • Instructors can't modify test options. Error message: blackboard.servlet.tags.ngui.picker.DateRangePickerTag tag restrict: the end time cannot be earlier than or equal to the start time. For reference, the Error ID is c57cdc1f-f7ab-4910-b088-52d24d0b024a.
  • In the Discussion Board, the thread navigation buttons do not display a “Next” option and do not work as expected.
  • During Course Copy, the option to Copy Course Materials into a New Course is set as the default choice and Instructors must select the Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course option in order to Course Copy.
