Katharine is new to CIRT as of September 2013. She brings over 30 years of experiences at UNF to her new role as the Assistant Director for DL Student Services. She earned her MBA at UNF in 1982 and quickly discovered technology was her passion. In ITS for 10 years, she worked on the network and user services teams before joining the faculty in the School of Computing. For the past 14+ years, Katharine has been the Lead Advisor in the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction, and a Senior Instructor in the School of Computing.
Erin came to CIRT in August of 2004 after graduating with a M.Ed. with a specialization in Instructional Technology. Prior to joining CIRT, Erin worked for the College of Education and Human Services in the Dean's Office and in the Duval County Public School System as a classroom teacher. Erin received a Master Online Teacher Certificate from the University of Illinois and the Illinois Online Network in March 2013 and a Blackboard Catalyst Award for Staff Development (Learn) in April 2013. Erin enjoys reading, biking, digital photography, and spending time with her family.
Shannon graduated from UNF with a BA in Psychology and from FSU with an MS in Instructional Systems. Prior to joining CIRT, she worked in both corporate and private sectors in various roles that included training, instructional design and business analysis for multiple Human Resources web applications. Most recently, she was an Instructional Designer at a community college in North Carolina before she and her family relocated back to Florida. In her free time she enjoys watching the many sports that her two sons are involved in, as well as playing tennis, writing and spending time enjoying her family.
Syleste graduated from UNF with a BS in Journalism in 2004 and with an M.Ed with a specialization in Instructional Technology in 2007. She worked with CIRT as an instructional design assistant for a year after completing her Masters degree, then taught middle school in the Duval County Public School system before returning to CIRT in 2012. Syleste's work interests include Blackboard support and designing online courses. In her free time she loves working on writing her novel, blogging, reading, and spending time with those closest to her.
Kevin came to UNF in 2012 from the University of Florida, where he earned a M.Sc. in Zoology and M.Ed. in Education, and spent many years developing online courses for faculty in the Department of Biology. His interests are spending time with family, playing soccer, and reading.
Jen graduated from UNF with a BA in Psychology in 2003. Previously, Jen worked for the Office of the Provost, where she coordinated the migration of the Academic Affairs websites into the CMS utility and served as the commencement/event coordinator. She started at UNF in 1998 at the Help Desk, where she worked at the technical and manager levels. In her free time, she enjoys photography, traveling, music and spending time with family.
Jasmine is a public health graduate student from Washington, DC. She enjoys being outdoors, walking nature trails, attending cultural festivals, music and spending time with family and close friends.
Jenny is a student at UNF and an Elementary Education major. She enjoys going to the beach, traveling, playing with her two dogs, and hanging out with her friends and family.
