Contact the Center for Community-Based Learning to help you identify resources and directions you would like to pursue in connection with the University of North Florida. We can help you connect with campus and other community organizations to collaborate in tackling local needs and issues. We would also be pleased to explore ways you might serve as a resource to UNF, by mentoring students in their career preparation, for example, or by participating as a speaker at issue-focused events.

The BCBS Center for Ethics, Public Policy and the Professions fosters deliberation on ethical issues as they emerge in public and professional life by facilitating the application of moral reasoning to questions of ethics and values as faced by policymakers, researchers and professional practitioners in the areas of health care, law, business, engineering, education, government and public life generally. The Center contributes to regional, national and international discussion of these matters through research, education, community outreach and professional ethics consultations.

The Division of Continuing Education provides a wide range of non-credit courses and certificate programs, some of which are offered on-line, designed to offer convenience, flexibility and exceptional value. These courses and programs target individuals who are preparing for graduate school, seeking certification, looking for advancement, changing careers or just love to learn.

The Florida Institute of Education (FIE) serves as a visible focal point for the State University System relative to public school issues. The FIE is committed to improving public education by engaging in systems thinking, collaborative problem-solving, research-focused evaluation, instructional and leadership development and practice-focused research and development.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, a non-profit, visual arts educational institution, is a cultural resource of the University of North Florida and serves the community through exhibitions, collections, educational programs, outreach and publications designed to enhance an understanding and appreciation of modern and contemporary art with particular emphasis on works created after 1960. It is one of the largest institutions of its kind in the Southeast. MOCA Jacksonville is funded in part by the University of North Florida, the City of Jacksonville, Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and through the generous support of our members.

The Office of Governmental Affairs serves as the principle liaison between UNF and federal, state and local governmental offices and legislative bodies. The office is responsible for development and implementation of strategies and programs to attain public funding goals, and to foster mutually supportive, on-going relationships with elected officials, executive branch leaders, other education institutions as well as UNF’s public and private partners.

The Small Business Development Center at UNF assists potential and existing small business owners by offering guidance in the development of business plans as well as up-to-date management advice, training and information.

The University Center is a 95,000 sq. ft. facility with excellent catering and audiovisual resources that is a perfect venue for an outstanding conference, meeting, or special event.

The UNF Fine Arts Center is designed as a complement to the cultural offerings within Jacksonville. The Fine Arts Center presents an eclectic series of world-class performers, commercial entertainers, ethnic music and dance, cutting edge performances and children’s programming as well as the premiere of new works to support upcoming artists.

The Calendar of Events at UNF lists activities that are open to the general public. Additionally, UNF has several Cultural Events and venues available to the general public operating throughout the year.
