Learning: Design, Theories, and Facilitation
CIRT is responsible for providing resources for faculty to assist them in facilitation of learning and research through consultation, training, media services, and equipment check-out. They also offer several resources for Blackboard instruction (the medium for distance learning at UNF) including tutorials, web links, and a blog.
OFE maintains an open resource library in Bulding 10, Honor's Hall, Room 1104, housing literature supporting faculty development in the roles of teacher, learner, technology innovator, and successful scholar. We also maintain a library of example dossiers to help faculty prepare for promotion and tenure. The OFE Library Catalog is available for browsing online.

This Microsoft site is a basic overview for surfing beginners. Using easy to understand language and images, this site explains what the "Internet" actually is, what you can use it for, and how to navigate the web using Internet Explorer, a common web browser from Windows.

The University Technology committee is a group of representatives from the campus community (including students) that meet to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of UNF's information technology services. UTC provides advice and recommendations to the University's administration and to ITS concerning IT strategic directions, operating policies, and faculty and staff IT needs, as well as serving as a liaison to the campus community and other campus committees.

Can you believe that Microsoft offers free, self-paced training online for every Microsoft Office application? You can get general Office training such as using the Ribbon in Office 2007, learning keyboard shortcuts, and securing your files. Browse training for the programs you use most often on the job, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and more. You can even download training presentations to train others in your office, plus demos, webcasts, and podcasts.
Professional Development and Work/Life Balance
The SkillSoft e-Learning program offers thousands of free non-credit professional development courses, books and reference materials available anytime through Internet connection for faculty, staff, and students of UNF. Use SkillSoft to learn business, presentation or computer skills; supplement academic instruction and provide online learning exercises and case studies; update knowledge, skills, and abilities in Microsoft Office; or prepare for a certificate program.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a 24-hour helpline for faculty, staff and their families who may need assistance with life, family and financial challenges. Total confidentiality and anonymity is provided to those who call the EAP for consultation.
The University of North Florida Child Development Research Center (CDRC) promotes an atmosphere of creativity, freedom of choice and positive interaction with our staff and children of the University and the community. The Child Development Research Center is available to children aged 2 1/2 (if fully toilet trained) through 10, of University of North Florida students, faculty, staff and the general public.

Professional Networking
The Administrative & Professional Association was established to foster collegial relationships among Association members to promote professionalism, creativity and leadership. The Association also serves as a forum wherein individuals may voice their ideas and concerns concerning UNF and employment.
The University Support Personnel Association (USPA) is a formal vehicle through which the University support personnel may communicate and seek solutions to common problems, concerns, and goals by formulating recommendations to the President via the Vice President for Administration and Finance.
