3 Hours
Register

Emotional intelligence (EI) relates to our ability to identify, use, understand and manage our emotions. Researchers now acknowledge that EI is a major component in achieving authentic workplace success. This interactive workshop will translate theory into practical applications designed to help members of the UNF community to deal with conflict and disagreements in a way that maximizes the likelihood of a positive outcome, while fostering an environment of trust, high morale and motivation. Become a leader in establishing and building healthy relationships and interactions with colleagues, students, parents, and internal and external customers.

After completion of this course, participants will have the tools to:

  • apply the 5 components of emotional intelligence to a variety of workplace scenarios and relationships
  • develop self-awareness and use it to shape actions and responses when encountering challenging or negatively-charged situations
  • develop social awareness skills to understand and relate to others in an empathetic and compassionate way
  • learn to use a variety of tools and approaches to develop your EI during both daily interactions and long-term relationship building
