    Access 2010 - Level 1 Beginning

    For the beginning level of the Access 2010 course, participants will learn how to: create databases and tables, work with fields and records, and work with data entry rules. Participants will also learn how to create forms and perform operations in queries.

    Access 2010 - Level 2 Intermediate

    For the intermediate level of the Access 2010 course, participants will learn how to: produce a report, normalize data, manage table relationships, and enforce referential integrity. Participants will also learn how to work with the Subdatasheet feature and Lookup fields, create joint queries, calculated fields, and summary values.

    Access 2010 - Level 3 Advanced

    For the advanced level of the Access 2010 course, participants will learn how to: print reports and labels, create and modify charts, and use PivotTables and PivotCharts. Participants will also learn how to add objects to forms and create advanced form types.

    Adobe Acrobat Basics
    Level 1 Beginning - Hours

    This course is designed for all those who work with many file types and applications (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and want to present and archive information in a polished format using Adobe Acrobat.

    In this class you will compare capabilities of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat, compile a list of Acrobat tools most useful to your job, create PDF files from other file types, review settings for Acrobat Distiller, combine multiple files into a single document, and set securities on PDF documents.

    Prerequisites:  Knowledge of basic Windows file management, such as creating new folders, copying/moving files between folders and drives, and re-naming of files and folders.

    Adobe Acrobat Collaboration
    Level 2 Intermediate - 3 Hours

     This course is designed for all those who frequently have to share documents with others for review and want to track reviewer comments and streamline the review process using Adobe Acrobat.

    In this class you will annotate PDF files using editing and commenting tools in Adobe Acrobat. You'll also create a digital signature for signing PDF files that adds additional security to your documents during a review process. You'll practice using the E-mail Review and Envelope features for document sharing using Acrobat.

    Adobe Acrobat Forms
    Level 3 Advanced - 3 Hours

     This course is designed for all those who collect information from stakeholders on paper and want to consider collecting this information electronically using forms created with Adobe Acrobat.

    In this class you will design an electronic form from scratch, create a form from a template, and convert a static PDF form to a fillable form. You'll practice exporting information from a filled form into a spreadsheet or other file type to use in other systems.

    Prerequisites:  Knowledge of basic Windows file management, such as creating new folders, copying/moving files between folders and drives, and re-naming of files and folders.

    Adobe Acrobat Training

    This course is designed to teach participants the fundamental concepts, terminology and basic features of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.  In addition to learning PDF basics and exploring the Acrobat interface, participants will learn how to:

    • Navigate and organize PDF documents
    • Create PDF documents within Acrobat, other applications such as Word, and from webpages
    • Modify the content of a PDF document
    • Insert various types of multi-media into a PDF document
    • Manage document security

    Creating and Managing Online Surveys
    Level 1 Beginning - 3 Hours

    This class introduces the basic functions of University's online survey application, Qualtrics.  Participants learn how to create, edit, format, publish, and share surveys.  Creation of several question types is covered, including matrix and conditional branching questions.  Participants learn how to export survey data and display reports.  This course is prerequisite to Creating and Managing Online Surveys, Level 2.
    Audience: A&P, Faculty, USPS, OPS, Student OPS.
    Prerequisites: Basic keyboard and mouse skills and familiarity with using a Web browser.

    Creating and Managing Online Surveys
    Level 2 Intermediate - 2 Hours

    This class covers the advanced functions of the University's online survey application, Qualtrics.  Participants learn how to use the library feature to save surveys and questions for reuse and about survey distribution methods, including customized email links, panels, and inclusion in social media sites.  These methods provide more efficient communication to the survey participants.  Participants learn how to modify the available reports and export survey results into PowerPoint and MS Word.  Creating and Managing Online Surveys, Level is prerequisite to this class.

    Introduction to Qualtrics Research Suite (New Survey Tool)

    The University has changed its online survey application to Qualtrics Research Suite.  This two-hour class introduces current users of Vovici to the new tool.  The class covers survey creation and distribution, downloading data, and reporting functions.
    Audience: This class is for students, faculty, and staff who already use the Vovici online survey tool.
    Prerequisites: Familiarity with the Vovici online survey tool.

    What's New in Windows Vista

     IMPORTANT! This course serves as the pre-requisite for What's New in Word and PowerPoint 2007, What's New in Outlook 2007, What's New in Access 2007, and What's New in Excel 2007.

    This course is designed for users familiar with previous versions of Microsoft's Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. This course will introduce the user to the new Ribbon interface found in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook 2007, as well as the new features offered in Windows Vista. This course will help participants improve workflow efficiency and business productivity. The new Vista features include: new functions to search for folders and files; new organizational and productivity tools and applications; and new security against online threats and unauthorized access.
