I. OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE
To ensure consistency and equity in assignments and compensation for part-time faculty members.
II. STATEMENT OF PROCEDURES
Part-time faculty members will be paid on a sliding scale of $667 - $917 per credit hour of instruction, with an additional increment provided to senior adjuncts as detailed below. The dean of the college will have discretion to hire between these ranges. Any exception to this policy requires written approval by the Provost/designee.
Part-time faculty with eight (8) or more semesters of teaching at UNF and a sustained record of excellent performance may receive, at the Dean’s discretion, up to an additional $80 per credit hour to the appropriate rate on the sliding scale.
Part-time faculty may be assigned no more than 9 credit hours or 3 courses per semester. No exceptions will be made to this policy.
