I. OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE 

This policy established the timeframe and procedure for approval of increases to the Activity & Service Fee, the Health Fee, and the Athletic Fee.

II. STATEMENT OF POLICY 

The UNF Board of Trustees will have final responsibility for approving increases to the Activitiy & Service Fee, the Health Fee, and the Ahletic Fee, not to exceed the amount allowed by Florida statute.

III. STATEMENT OF PROCEDURES 

Each year the President will appoint a committee to review and recommend changes to the Activity & Service Fee, Health Fee, and Ahtletic Fee. At least one half of the committee shall be comprised of students appointed by the Student Body President. The remainder of the committee shall be appointed by the President. A chairperson, appointed jointly by the university president and the student body president, shall vote in the case of a tie. 

The president will review recommended changes to the fees. The President may approve, reject, or propose additional changes before forwarding changes to the UNF Board of Trustees at their June board meeting. The Board of Trustees holds authority and responsiblity for establishing these fees, in accordance with Florida law, and may approve, reject, or suggest alterations to the President's recommendation. Changes decided upon by the UNF Board of Trustees will take effect beginning the subsequent fall term.
