 I. OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to establish the University commitment to providing employees opportunities for lifelong learning.


II. STATEMENT OF POLICY

Non-unit Faculty, Administrative, and Support employee learning opportunities involving professional renewal, planned travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value may include the following:

A) Sabbaticals.

B) Employee development or certification.

C) Leave to pursue educational goals.

Adopted by the University of North Florida Board of Trustees as part of the University’s Personnel Program on January 26, 2006.
