Thank you for being apart of the UNF family! As a family member you have the opportunity of purchasing a permit prior to the student permit sales date. Permit sale dates can be viewed through Osprey Update for Faculty and Staff and below on this web page. Purchase your permit as soon as it goes on sale because the more desirable permits, such as Faculty/Staff, tend to sell out quickly. Other permit categories such as Blue, Gray and Motorcycle will continue to be available to faculty and staff.
Faculty and Staff (FSA myPermit category) has sold to capacity. To be added to the waitlist, please call (904) 620-2815. To purchase other permits, click here.
Starting on August 16, 2017 your parking permit will be virtual! Physical permits will no longer be used and your vehicles's license plate number will be your permit. For additional virtual permit information, please click on this FAQ link.
Click on Permit Info to view permit costs and permit types valid for specific parking locations.
Enforcement activity is Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. No permit is required from 5 p.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Monday unless there is a special event on campus. To verify special events, Master Calendar.
If visiting the University Center for a special event or class, no permit is required to park in Lot 16 (located in front of the center).
The preferred payment method is by using the 24-payment payroll deduction. This is pre-taxed and allows for any changes to the account, such as upgrades and permit returns, to be much easier. Or you may pay with a one-time deduction or pay the full amount owed with a MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover credit card. All transactions must be completed online.
Please click on Permit Info to verify valid parking locations with purchased permits.
An Annual permit year includes August 16 till August 15 of the following year. For example, the 2017-18 permit year begins August 16, 2017 and will expire August 15, 2018. Unlike a Term permit, which may last from five to six months. For example, the 2017 Spring Term permits started selling December 5, 2016 and will expire April 14, 2017.
Parking with an expired virtual permit will result in a citation.
If you are a 9-month faculty or staff employee using the 24-payment plan, be sure to turn it in at Parking & Transportation Services, Building 52 at the end of the year and stop your payments. This also applies to any employee, for whatever reason, no longer wishes to park in University garages and lots.
If you terminate employment with the University or other circumstances result in you no longer requiring a UNF parking permit, you may be eligible for a partial refund. If you selected the regular pay deduction method to pay for your parking permit, notify Parking and Transportation Services, (904) 620-2815 or email email@example.com and deductions will cease following your next pay. If you do not notify Parking and Transportation services regarding terminating employment with the University, the remaining amount owed towards your virtual permit to cover the annual price will be deducted from your final pay. in addition, if Parking and Transportation Services is not contacted upon termination and the final pay does not cover the amount owed, the remaining amount owed will be immediately due and payable in full. No refund is available after termination. No refund is available if you chose to pay for your permit with cash or with a one-time pay deduction.
Thanks to the virtual permit program, you may now register up to 5 vehicles to your purchased permit through your parking account via myWings portal, however, you may only have one vehicle on campus at a time.
If you own both a 4-wheel vehicle and a motorcycle (both cannot be parked on campus simultaneously), it is in your best interest to purchase a 4-wheel vehicle permit and have both the vehicle and the motorcycle registered to the same permit. The vehicle must park within the valid parking lots designated to the purchased permit, and the motorcycle may park within any designated motorcycle spaces stationed throughout campus.
If you have a visitor or colleague visiting campus, inform them to purchase a $5 Daily Virtual Permit from one of the stationed Pay-by-Plate kiosks. Also, please inform them that they will need to enter their license plate information into the kiosks as well as park their vehicle "nose in" so their license plate is visible to our tag recognition cameras. No visitor permit is required on weekends, unless there is a special event happening.
You can also make advance arrangements for a guest, if your department is paying for the pass. To do so, please log into your myWings, click on Staff tab, go to My Applications section, click on Employee Online Forms, click on the drop down box for Department and select Parking and Transportation Services. Click on the Visitor Parking Validations link and follow the rest of the prompts. Please communicate the code to the visitor as well as inform the visitor they must stop at a Pay-by-Plate kiosk to enter the communicated code and their license plate number prior to parking.
