 Executive vice president of Human Resources for FIS; previously was vice president of Human Resources for Florida Rock Industries Inc. in Jacksonville; also held positions as director of Labor Relations for CSX in Jacksonville; was a partner at the law firm of Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Va., where he specialized in labor and employment law

 B.A. from the University of Virginia; J.D. magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law; named to the Order of the Coif

 Served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, where he was a deep-sea diving and salvage officer aboard the USS Reclaimer (ARS 42)
