John T. Hayt

Occupation:

 Retired chairman and CEO of EquiCredit Corp., a Jacksonville-based publicly-held company that was a pioneer of the home equity lending industry; retired in 1997 after the company was acquired by Barnett Banks of Florida having served 32 years in various positions.  

Activities:

  A supporter of University of North Florida since 1993, primarily Athletics and its men’s golf program. Serves on the board of Community Hospice of Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, where he was a two-term chairman of its board.
