Item 1 Distance Learning
Chair Greene offered opportunity for Dr. Len Roberson, dean of The Graduate School, to begin his presentation on distance learning. Dr. Roberson provided details on the timeline for the UNF distance learning initiative, including the distance learning fee. He discussed the fee in terms of revenue, infrastructure and expansion.
Dr. Roberson spoke about some key points of interest, including access, commonality, expectations and growth. He addressed strategic planning for UNF’s distance learning, including data on course sections and hybrid course sections, and certificate and degree programs.
Dr. Roberson provided trustees with a recap of one year, with the distance learning fee. He noted that additional faculty had been trained to use distance learning and several programs had been selected for transition. He also spoke about ensuring quality for distance learning courses, including faculty development.
Dr. Roberson concluded his presentation by discussing future considerations for distance learning, including strategic planning. He offered opportunity for questions.
