Item 1 Call to Order and Introductions
Meeting called to order by Chair Pincomb.
Item 2 Minutes
Chair Pincomb asked for approval of the minutes from the June 21st meeting. Motion was made to approve--- with one correction. The motion passed unanimously.

Item 4 Honoring Individuals by Naming Elements at the University "In Their Honor" Policy
President Delaney stated that most buildings on campus are known by numbers not names. He has asked Vice President Pierre Allaire to look at giving names to the buildings by honoring individuals for service and/or financial contributions. Vice President Allaire is requesting that the policy be revised to be consistent with current state requirements. The proposed revision deletes the language requiring that naming opportunities be forwarded to the Florida Legislature for final approval.
Motion made to approve the revision. Motion carried and unanimously approved.
Item 5 Annual Capital Outlay Plan for Fiscal Year 2011-2012
Vice President Shuman presented the Capital Outlay Quarterly Report to the Student Life and Facilities Committee.

Item 6 Fall 2011 Student Profile
In an effort to keep the Board of Trustees apprised of current metrics and trends within the university, Mr. John Yancey, Director of Admissions, and Associate Vice President Deb Kaye presented a progress brief on current fall enrollments and the fall 2011 student profile. They also presented a comparison between the growths from 2010 to 2011.

Item 7 U.S. News and World Report College and University Rankings
Vice President Serwatka and Ms. Shawn Brayton, Academic Affairs, gave a presentation on the U.S. News and World Report on UNF’s ranking in comparison to other colleges and universities. They explained how the rankings are recalculated and how UNF performed over the last three years compared to our peer institutions.

Item 8 Military and Veterans Resource Center
Mr. Ray Wikstrom, Director for Military and Veterans Resource Center, gave a presentation on the center’s mission, purpose, and the services it provides to military and veteran students. Two students, Rose Morrisseau (Navy veteran) and Mark Middlebrook (Army veteran) spoke on the impact the center has had on their lives as a UNF student. They also shared how important the center is in assisting with navigating through the admission, enrollment, and financial processes.
