UNF wins national awards and ranks among the best in the country

We did it again!

Nationally, the University of North Florida is being recognized by some very elite organizations and is showing up on nearly every national college ranking. More and more, UNF is being seen among elite institutions as a high-caliber education destination and a great place to study, live and thrive.

 

For the second consecutive year, the U.S. News & World Report has named the University of North Florida a “Best Regional” university in its 2013 edition of “Best Colleges,” which includes rankings and data of more than 1,600 schools nationwide. UNF rose to No. 41 this year over last year’s ranking of No. 48.

And we did it again. Just recently, the Princeton Review again named UNF a “best value college” for 2013, making it the third time UNF made the best value list.

 And, for the fourth consecutive year The Princeton Review has named UNF a Best College in the Southeast.

And, for the sixth consecutive year The Princeton Review has name UNF's Coggin College a Best Business School.

For the second consecutive year, UNF has been named as one of the top colleges and universities across the country in the annual “America’s Best Colleges” 2012 list, created by Forbes Magazine.  

 

The University was ranked fourth in Florida among all state universities and was the only Northeast Florida institution of higher learning to make the list. This year, UNF moved up 64 places to No. 427 in the nation and was ranked ahead of the University of South Florida (No. 449) and the University of Central Florida (No. 462).  

For the second consecutive year, Kiplinger Personal Finance named UNF a best value public college, emphasizing the value an investment in an undergraduate education at UNF pays now and in the future.

The College Database, the most current and comprehensive source for U.S. college and university data, has named the University of North Florida to its top colleges for highest financial return on investment in Florida. UNF is ranked No. 5 on the list for providing a high-quality education at an affordable price.

The University of North Florida has made a unique new list of 60 low-cost colleges with graduates who earn high starting salaries released by AffordableCollegesOnline.org (ACO).

The Sierra Club, America’s largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization with more than 1.4 million members working to protect communities and the planet, named UNF as one of it’s top 100 “cool green schools” for our commitment to the environment and its preservation even during expansion.

Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs Magazine, also named UNF a Military Friendly School for the fourth consecutive year.

For the second consecutive year, The President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll named the UNF as a leader for its work in community settings, student volunteerism and philanthropic efforts as well as academic programs that include forms of community-based learning.

The Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Architects named UNF’s Student Union as the No. 4 building in the state. The Student Union is the only local building in the top five.

And it doesn’t stop there. Not only is the University as a whole being recognized for its outstanding contributions to education, some of our individual programs are receiving acclaim, as well.
