Important Notice to Prospective Bidders: Effective July 1, 2012Florida Statutes Section 287.084 and Section 283.35 require the University to provide a 5% preference to vendors whose principal place of business is in Florida (“Resident Vendors”). These Sections impose certain requirements on non-Resident Vendors, including the submission of a written opinion from a licensed attorney in the state of the non-Resident Vendor’s principal place of business at the time of submitting its bid, proposal or reply in order to be considered responsive. Vendors and their licensed attorneys are encouraged to review carefully these Sections in order to avoid a non-responsive bid, proposal or reply.
