Central Receiving is a sub-section of Procurement Services whose mission is to support the University in the receipt, verification, and delivery of items that are shipped from Vendors as a result of a purchase order being issued.Hours of operation: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.Direct Deliveries: Direct deliveries occur when an order is either too large or the delivery location is a remote site. If a direct delivery occurs, it is imperative that your department contact the Receiving Department. You can e-mail Mike Trotter, Kevin Summerville or Anthony Ballard. Please include the vendor name and purchase order number with your notification.Returns: Most vendors have a 30 day return policy. Inspect your order promptly to ensure that there is not concealed damage, proper items were received, and correct quantities were received.If you need to return an order, contact the appropriate Buyer. The Buyer will arrange to have your order returned.Courier Service: For pick-up of outgoing packages to be shipped by UPS or Fed Ex, contact us at Extension 1741 or 2869. You can also deliver your package to Central Receiving during normal operating hours. UPS packages can also be handled by the campus UPS Store in the English Hall (Bldg. 8). UPS and Fed Ex drop boxes are on the Central Receiving Dock for after hours pick-up.Delivery Instructions: On the Requestor/ Delivery Information Screen of your requisition, enter your Department, Name, and Building and Room Number in the Attention to field. For example:Procurement Services, Jane Doe, Bldg, 53 / Suite 2950.This will assist in the proper and timely delivery of your order.
