Central Receiving is a sub-section of Purchasing whose mission is to support the University in the receipt, verification, and delivery of items that are shipped from Vendors as a result of a purchase order being issued.Hours of operation: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.Direct Deliveries: Direct deliveries occur when an order is either too large or the delivery location is at a remote site. If a direct delivery occurs, it is imperative that your department contact the Receiving Department. You can e-mail Mike Trotter, Kevin Summerville or Anthony Ballard. Please include the vendor name and purchase order number with your notification.Returns: Most vendors have a thirty (30) day return policy. Inspect your order promptly to ensure that there is not concealed damage, proper items were received, and correct quantities were received.If you need to return an order, contact the appropriate Purchasing Coordinator. The Coordinator will arrange to have your order returned.Courier Service: For next day courier service, fill out a requisition with all the appropriate delivery information. Contact Mike Trotter for your package pick-up. You may also deliver your package to Central Receiving during operating hours.Delivery Instructions: On the Requestor/ Delivery Information Screen of your requisition, enter your Department, Name, and Building and Room Number in the Attention to field. For example:Purchasing, Jane Doe, 6/1306This will assist in the proper and timely delivery of your order.
