About fifteen species of Trachelospermum
exist. Most are native to Asia but one is native to the southeastern United States. These
are evergreen vines with white to yellowish flowers. One Asian species
(Confederate jasmine) is cultivated as a vine for its showy, fragrant flowers.

Soil: adaptable to a wide pH range
This plant is commonly used in northeast Florida landscapes as a groundcover. In our
area, it performs best with supplemental irrigation.
