Description:

 

A single species of Kerria is native to Japan. It is a suckering, thorn less shrub with yellow flowers in summer. Kerria grows to about six feet tall with arching stems. It is an excellent plant for a shady bank. The common garden form has a double flower that rarely makes seeds.

A large, irregular shrub to about six feet tall.

Water: well-drained soil, not very drought tolerant
