Go to the ITS Self Service page. Login using your network userID (UNF ID) or your social security number and birth date.
Also known as your “N” number, your UNF ID uniquely identifies you for administrative and other purposes at UNF. You can find it on your osprey card. It is also listed on the ITS Self Service page The format is an 'n' followed by an 8 digit number. Such as N12345678.
After logging in to the ITS Self Service page, click on “View Information” from the gray menu. Your UNF ID is an eight digit number preceded by the letter ‘N’.
After logging in to the ITS Self Service page, locate the “search” field on the left hand side on the gray menu. Type in a person’s last name or their userID, then click on the “lookup” button. If you find the person you are looking for, select the name and click on the “submit” button. If you do not see the person you are seeking, either click the “next” button for additional choices or restart the search.
UNF IDs are used to communicate with computer systems. Email addresses are used to communicate with other people. The new UNF ID will only be used to log into computer systems. Email addresses will not change, but faculty and staff may elect to change to a more friendly email address, derived from their demographic information.
To select an friendly email alias, login to ITS Self Service page. Click on “Create Alias” from the gray menu. You will see a variety of choices from which to choose. To see more choices, give yourself a nickname (select “View Information” from the gray menu).
Your email alias is your first initial dot then last name (s.jones). If this combination is already in use, your alias becomes first initial dot last name then a random number (s.jones45891).
After logging on to the ITS Self Service page, click on "View Aliases" Your current email alias will be listed next to Public Alias.
To change your password, login to ITS Self Service page. You can use your SSN and birth date if you do not know your UNF ID/password. Click on “Change Password ” from the gray menu. Type in a new passphrase. The passphrase should begin with a letter and contain at least 8 characters (15 characters is best). The characters can be a combination of letters, numbers, and an underscore. Your passphrase cannot contain a dictionary word.
You can choose to block spam (quarantine) or to have your email delivery normally. If you choose quarantine spam, it will be held for seven days, upon which time it is deleted unless you release it. For more information on how this works, visit our Ironport information page.
To turn quarantining on or off, login to the ITS Self Service page. On the gray menu, select “View Policies”. Select “Held in Quarantine” if you wish to have your spam quarantined or click on “Delivered Normally” if you do not wish to have your spam quarantined.
You can change the way Outlook displays your name. To do this login to the ITS Self Service web page. Click on “View Information” from the gray menu. Use the pull down menu to under Display Name, to select a different way for Outlook to display your name.
