Add Need Immunization (M1) on General Medical Information Form
Applicants who matriculate at Florida public universities are required to provide proof of immunization against rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) prior to the initial registration. This nightly process selects all students with an Active General Student (SGASTDN) record who do not already have a Medical Code of Immunization (M1, M2, or M3). The process adds the Need Immunization (IM) hold, if it does not already exist. The process adds a Medical Code of Immunization (M1) and a Disability Service code of Needs Immunization (MA) or Born Before January 1, 1957 (MA) to the General Medical Information (GOAMEDI) form. The Medical Compliance Office is responsible for providing immunization clearance for students. Students born after January 1, 1957 do not require additional clearance.

Electronic Transcript Immunization Maintenance
Immunization information may be indicated on an electronic transcript from another institution. This nightly process evaluates the data from the electronic transcript to see if there are any immunizations listed. The immunization records are copied to a UNF table. There is a Banner Self-Service application where a user can view a list of immunizations for a student. The Medical Compliance Office can use this data to satisfy immunization requirements when other documentation is not received.
