Development and Alumni Affairs is the external relations arm of the University which includes alumni, fundraising and public relations. Our mission is to engage UNF alumni and friends with every aspect of the University. DAA is responsible for University-wide efforts in fund raising. As Florida's public universities move from the status of "State supported" to "State assisted," development staff seek to increase the number of alumni and friends, corporations, foundations and organizations providing support for the institution's wide range of educational, cultural and athletic programs. In addition, DAA handles the day-to-day operations of the UNF Foundation including gift receipting, gift acknowledgment, donor records and Foundation board member recruitment, orientation and volunteer committee assignments. Internal control practices, accounting and disbursement of funds is the responsibility of Foundation Accounting which is part of the Division of Administration and Finance.
