The Brooks College of Health offers two doctoral degree programs. Both terminal degrees are clinical doctorates with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
Aging Services Certificate
This certificate provides graduate level coursework which will advance knowledge and skills for persons working in the aging services area, as well as those interested in entering the field.
Family Nurse Practitioner
This certificate is for individuals who currently have a Masters in Nursing and want to obtain a certificate which will allow them to sit for the National Certification Examination as a Family Nurse Practitioner in order to practice in that capacity.
The Public Health Certificate (PHC) Program consists of five required courses. The PHC Program prepares participants with a broad understanding of the core areas of public health and skills necessary for public health practice in a wide range of public and private institutions. This certificate is ideal for those students who are working on a Master's degree in another field, but have an interest in or plan to work in a public health setting, or for professionals who are working in the field but do not have a degree in public health.
