For All High School Teachers - Short Course in Statistics

Thursday - Saturday, July 11-13, 2013 

The Short Course in Statistics will help prepare teachers who want a refresher before starting the AP Institute. It is also valuable for all teachers who may want to teach regular (non-AP) courses in statistics or who want to update their knowledge of statistics.

Parking permits are required. You should receive your daily parking passes in the mail by July 1st. If you have not, be sure to inform us as soon as possible at (904) 620-2653 or llipkin@unf.edu. Be sure to park only in unrestricted spaces. 

Classrooms will be Bldg. 2/ Room 1017 and Bldg. 2/ Room 1018.

There are many hotels/suites/motels in the UNF vicinity, most at very attractive prices.  UNF visitors receive discounts, so be sure to say that you are attending a UNF conference when you register.  Alternatively, you might have a better rate from AAA, etc.  The early morning drive to campus and the late afternoon drive to the hotel (or elsewhere) should be quite easy since you will be going in the opposite direction of the rush hour traffic (unless you stay at the beach).  The link to the preferred hotels is below.  You will want to consider those hotels in the JTB/Southpoint/St. John’s Town Center area, though some participants like the (more expensive and slightly more distant) beach hotels.  You should consider those properties in the list within 12 miles of campus.  The morning travel time to campus will then be no more than 10 minutes.
