Mission Statement

 

There is no “pre-med” major.  The UNF Biomedical Program is designed to assist UNF students in becoming competitive candidates for admission to professional schools in medicine, physician assistance, dentistry, pharmacy, podiatry, optometry, chiropractic, veterinary medicine, and research-based graduate programs.

 

Program Registration 

To receive email updates about Biomedical Program events and opportunities, email biomedicalprogram@unf.edu and provide your name, UNF N-number, and career interests.

 

Program Features 

 

In an effort to best help students prepare for professional programs, the Biomedical Program offers the following services. 

  • Students of any major with career interests in biomedical professional programs can participate
  • Academic and career advising
  • Shadowing opportunities
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Peer mentoring
  • Application preparation assistance, including a centralized evaluation service
  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program
  • Scholarship opportunities
    • Dr. Paul and Christie Mucciolo Pre-professional Scholarship
    • Ray Bowman Pre-professional Scholarship
