Shannon Italia, MBA


Shannon is the founding Director of the Career Management Center, which opened in May 2007. Shannon leads the total efforts and outreaches to the Jacksonville business community to engage members with Coggin faculty and students in ways that ultimately lead to mutually beneficial relationships.


Melinda Santos, M.Ed

Assistant Director 

Melinda assists students with identifying a rewarding career path and the tools they need to be successful. She also collaborates with the Graduate Assistant to provide résumé critiques, career counseling, and workshops for students. In addition, Melinda supports the director with coordinating and promoting the center's exemplary professional development programs: S.T.A.R. (Skills to Achieve Results), Coggin Ambassadors, and the Coggin Mentor Program 


Jackie Pruett

Employer Relations Specialist 

Jackie manages employer on-campus recruiting activity, assisting with the scheduling and set up of on-campus interviews, employer information sessions, and mock interviews. She also serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming inquiries for the job positing system, Osprey CareerLink.

Dee Dee

Dee Dee Wyckoff, M. Ed

Internship Coordinator

Dee Dee meets with students regarding internship interest, the internship application process, and promotes the internship program to students in the college. She collaborates with the Assistant Director and the Graduate Assistant to provide career exploration, résumé/cover letter critiques, and various career related workshops to students. In addition, Dee Dee assists with the various events and student programming offered by the center.


Sylvia Laxton

Graduate Assistant 

Sylvia assists the Career Coordinator with providing professional critiques of student résumés, cover letters, and general career counseling appointments. She also contributes to the coordination and execution of student programming provided by the center.

Sylvia is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration and is expected to graduate spring of 2017. After graduating with her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education on 2013, she taught elementary school for three years at Duval County Public Schools before deciding to pursue her MBA full time.


Christine Miner

Project Assistant

Christine manages a variety of special projects for the Director in support of both the Career Management Center and the Coggin College of Business.   

Christine recently graduated from the Coggin College of Business with a degree in Marketing and a minor in International Business. She is a former Coggin Ambassador, Coggin Mentee, and Women in Business Society Vice President. She also was the 2016 recipient of the Coggin Ambassador Senior Service Award and the Osprey Community Engagement Medallion. Christine plans to start the Coggin MBA program in spring 2017. After graduating, Christine hopes to work in a management or leadership role, while staying active in the community to make a positive impact. 


Lauren Reynolds

Office Assistant

Lauren serves as a primary point of contact for incoming inquiries, including phone calls and walk-in traffic. Lauren also helps to manage the budget, and provides focused support to the Employer Relations Specialist. 

Lauren is majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics, and will be graduating in summer 2017. During her final year at UNF, Lauren will be serving as Treasurer for the Women in Business Society; she is also looking forward to being a mentee in the selective entry Coggin Mentor program. After graduating, Lauren would like to work in the field of commercial real estate where she can help with urban and economic development. 


Sabrina Sorrentino

Office Assistant

Sabrina serves as a primary point of contact for incoming inquiries, including phone calls and walk-in traffic. She also helps with special projects and provides focused support to the Career Coordinator.

Sabrina is double-majoring in Business Management and Marketing with plans to graduate in spring of 2018. Sabrina has served as a Senator, for both the University and Students Affair Committee and the Government Oversight Committee, and the Elections Commissioner for UNF Student Government. Currently, she serves as Delta Gamma’s Vice President of Finance. After graduation, Sabrina hopes to launch a career in marketing and pursue her MBA.


Daniela Cruz

CMC Marketing Intern

Daniela fields incoming inquiries to the Career Management Center, and assists students and employers seeking to utilize the center's programs and services. Daniela also helps manage the social media channels and provides the center with general marketing support.

Daniela is a Business Management and International Business double major with a Minor in French. During her time at UNF,  she has participated in the International Student Association and Delta Sigma Pi. She also recently completed an internship at FIS and is a member of the Coggin Mentor Program. Upon graduation, Daniela hopes to continue to grow her career in the banking industry.


Erin Fouraker

CCB Marketing Intern



Erin serves as a Marketing Intern, where she assists in supporting social media and marketing efforts for the Coggin College of Business.

Erin is majoring in Marketing with minors in International Business and Spanish and will graduate in spring 2017. She is an active member of the Coggin Delegation Program and Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. She has also been a Coggin Mentee and has interned at EverBank and Crowley Maritime Corporation. Erin has completed multiple short-term study abroad trips and recently spent a semester in Chile. She aspires to work for a global company in a marketing role or a rotational program, where she can gain more experience prior to pursuing her MBA.
