Shannon is the founding Director of the Career Management Center, which opened in May 2007. Shannon leads the total effort and outreaches to the Jacksonville business community to engage members with Coggin faculty and  students in ways that ultimately lead to mutually beneficial relationships.

Career Coordinator



Melinda assists students with identifying a rewarding career path and the tools they need to be successful.  She also collaborates with the Graduate Coordinator to provide résumé critiques, career counseling, and workshops for students.  In addition, Melinda supports the director with coordinating and promoting the center’s exemplary professional development programs: S.T.A.R. (Skills to Achieve Results), Student Ambassadors, and the Mentor Program.

Recruiting Assistant 


Taylor manages employer on-campus recruiting activity, assisting with the scheduling and set up on on-campus interviews, employer information sessions and mock interviews. She also sets up student appointments with the Career Coordinator and serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming inquiries to the Career Management Center, including phone calls and walk-in traffic.

Sarah assists Career Coordinator with providing individualized student resumes, cover letters and professional skills development appointments. Her primary focus includes students with accounting, finance and financial services major. She also contributes to the coordination and execution of student programming provided by the Center.

Placement Intern



Amandalee's focus is on tracking student job placements and position posting outcomes through both the Career Wings system and communication with both students and employers.  She also compiles feedback and summarizes events held into internal reports utilized to improve future programming.

Marketing & Events Intern    



Chelsea works closely with staff to market and execute on campus recruiting events.  Chelsea assists with the Center’s daily operations by answering student and employer inquiries, designing posters/fliers, writing the student newsletter and maintaining social media accounts.

Office Assistant



 Lynette serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming inquiries to the Career Management Center, including phone calls and walk-in traffic. Lynette supports all staff members, but primarily works directly with and in support of the Recruiting Assistant.
