Coggin Ambassador Program

The Coggin Ambassador Program provides outgoing, connected and ambitious Coggin College students the opportunity to serve as student representatives of the Career Management Center (CMC); they are the student face of the CMC.  Coggin Ambassadors play an integral role in the marketing and execution of programs presented by the Career Management Center (CMC) and the Coggin College of Business.  Events and promotions that Coggin Ambassadors have assisted with in the past include classroom presentations, career fairs, networking events, tabling to promote events, career workshops, fundraising, dean’s office events, STAR Program events, the Coggin hooding ceremony, and off-campus industry events.

By participating in the program, Coggin Ambassadors have the opportunity to network with their peers and business professionals, learn about the job market, and enhance their resumes. It is not uncommon for Coggin Ambassadors to make connections during their term that lead to job or internship opportunities.

Application Process

The Career Management Center staff selects Coggin Ambassadors at the end of the fall and spring semesters for the following semester. Students must submit an application, essay and an updated resume in order to be considered for the program to

Coggin Ambassador Criteria   


Applicant Requirements:

  • S.T.A.R. Certified (or will complete by beginning of term)
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher and in good academic standing
  • Junior, senior, post baccalaureate or graduate student status with a business major
  • Be able to commit 20 hours total over the course of the semester
  • There are no hour requirements for summer; however, there may be opportunities to volunteer for those who are in town. These hours can count towards fall requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Current member and actively involved with a Coggin College of Business Club
  • Strong knowledge regarding the CMC and experience working with the office

CA2015-Lauren Stevens


Double Major: Marketing, International Business 

Graduation:  Spring 2015


Lauren is a Senior majoring in Marketing with a Minor in International Business.  She currently holds the role of the Vice President of the Women in Business Society, and she is also an active member of the Student Leadership Advisory Board (SLAB).  Outside of UNF, Lauren has participated in a Social Media Internship with Chick-fil-A and a Marketing Research Internship at Universal Studios.  In addition, she enjoys working at Walt Disney World during the Summer months while home in Orlando, FL.  When she is not occupied at school or work, Lauren enjoys relaxing with friends and traveling.  So far, her top 3 favorite places to travel are Greece, Alaska, and Italy.  Upon graduating in May 2015, she aspires to work for a fortune 500 company, while pursuing her MBA. 

CA2015-Afshan Zaher


Double Major: Accounting, English

Graduation: Summer 2015


Born and raised in Dubai and rooted in Bangladesh, Afshan Zaher moved to the United States to pursue her higher education.  Afshan is a senior majoring in Accounting and English and expects to graduate in Summer 2015.  Due to her diverse background, she is fluent in six languages.  At UNF, Afshan is a member of the Women in Business Society, Alpha Sigma Pi, Muslim Student Association and the Coggin Mentor Program.  She is also the recipient of the MECLABS Annual Scholarship and CIT Group Inc Business Scholarship.  During her free time, she loves reading, volunteering at the public library, watching movies/shows, spending time with her family or chatting with her friends from different time zones.  

CA2015-Lisa Nguyen     


Major: Transportation & Logistics 
Graduation: Spring 2015 


Lisa is a senior majoring in Transportation and Logistics.  She is a native to Jacksonville, Florida, but her family origins are from Vietnam and she is the first in her family to attend college.  Lisa is currently a member of UNF A.S.I.A and is the secretary of the Transportation and Logistics Society (TLS).  She is a recipient of Pat Moran & JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Endowed Scholarship in Transportation & Logistics and the PRODiGi Logistics Annual Scholarship.  After graduation, Lisa wants to pursue a career in the logistics field related to her major.  During her spare time, Lisa enjoys traveling and spending time with her loved ones. 

CA2015-Reka Sanders

Double Major: Marketing, Economics | Minor: Psychology 
Graduation: Spring 2015

Myreka is a senior majoring in Marketing and Economics and is currently the Marketing Director of the Student United Way of the University of North Florida.  Her extra-curricular activities include participating in the Jacksonville Collegiate Leadership Experience program, working as an Ambassador for First Coast Energy’s Daily’s stores, and volunteering for organizations with which she shares interests.  Upon graduation, Myreka hopes to travel throughout Central America for a year to learn about Latin culture and improve her Spanish.  She then plans to eventually pursue her Masters in Health Administration.

CA2015-Myriah Morris 


Double Major: International Business, Marketing 

Graduation: Spring 2015


Myriah is a senior double majoring in International Business and Marketing.  She was a participant in the Coggin Study Abroad program, spending two semesters in Paris and Marseille, France.  She firmly believes travel and cultural immersion is beneficial for all individuals who want to do business on a global scale.  As a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success, Women of Business Society, Coggin Delegation, and the Coggin Mentor program, she aspires to be a successful entrepreneur.  Upon graduating, she hopes to acquire a corporate marketing position, continue her education, travel the world, and develop her fluency in ​the French language.


CA2015-Kami Richmond


Double Major: International Business, Economics | Minor: Chinese
Graduation: Fall 2015


Kami is a junior double majoring in International Business and Economics and minoring in Chinese.  She currently holds the role of International Projects Director for UNF’s Rotaract Club, and is an active member of the Swoop Squad.  Kami has previously studied abroad in Greece and in China.  She is also interning at the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville.  In her spare time, Kami enjoys spending time with family and friends, running marathons, and painting. 

CA2015-Brendan Shutts  


Major: Management 

Graduation: Fall 2015


Brendan is a senior and is majoring in Business Management.  He is currently active in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity on campus where he has gone up the ranks to Vice President.  Brendan has also been involved in the Presidential Envoy Association serving on the finance committee.  He also volunteered to be the overall finance chair for the Dance Marathon charity which supports the Children's Miracle Network.  Brendan works part-time as a Transportation Solutions Specialists at PLS Logistics Services and in his spare time enjoys wakeboarding, playing sports on the beach, and hanging with friends and family.  Upon graduation, he hopes to ultimately earn a managerial position with a focus in the finance industry.

CA2015-Taylor Winbush


Double Major: Marketing, Management 

Graduation: Spring 2017


Taylor is sophomore pursing a double major in marketing and management.  She is an active member of the Student Conduct Board at the University of North Florida.  During the summer of 2014, she completed an internship with Campus Special and sold over $20,000 in revenue.  Although her focus is with the Coggin College of Business, she seeks a career in Public Relations and Communications.  She also hosts her own talk show to help uplift women with confidence.  Upon graduation Taylor seeks to work for a company where she can thrive in creativity while maintaining her position in the corporate business world.

 CA2015-Will Gualtieri


Major: International Business

Graduation: Fall 2015


Will is majoring in International Business and is an active member of Delta Sigma Pi (a professional fraternity), an alumni member of Phi Delta Theta (a social fraternity at Jacksonville University), and a member of Enactus (a business volunteering club which engulfs one with business experience).  Additionally he is a part of the 2014-2015 cohort of the Coggin Mentor Program.  Will also studied abroad in Argentina during the Summer of 2014.  He has an interest in Finance and Operations.  Will enjoys spending his free time hanging with his girlfriend, his friends, and going to the gym. 

CA2015-Yanis Cisneros


Major: Accounting | Minor: Psychology 

Graduation: Spring 2016


Yanis is a junior majoring in Accounting, and she is a member of Alpha Sigma Pi and the UNF Volunteer Club.  Yanis is also a student member of the FICPA and the AICPA. Upon her graduation in the spring of 2016, Yanis expects to sit for the CPA exam and obtain a master's degree.  In her spare time Yanis enjoys volunteering and spending time with friends and family.

 CA2015-Riley Bouchard RILEY BOUCHARD
Major: Marketing, International Business
Graduation: Spring 2015

Riley is a senior double majoring in International Business and Marketing, with a planned graduation date of May 2015.  Riley has prior work experience as the Associate Director of Marketing for Trek International Safaris, a Marketing Intern at North Florida Land Trust, as well as 10 years of experience running his own business as a web designer.  Riley is also a member of the 2014-2015 cohort of the Coggin Mentor Program.  In his free time, Riley enjoys going to the gym and visiting the local beaches.  Upon graduation, he hopes to complete his MBA.

CA2015-Blake Ehlers BLAKE EHLERS
Double Major: Transportation & Logistics, Management | Minor: International Business
Graduation: Spring 2016

Blake is an undergraduate student double majoring in Transportation & Logistics and Business Management with a minor in International Business.  He began his collegiate career by swimming on a 2-year scholarship at Daytona State to earn his Associate’s Degree.  He then transferred to UNF and moved back to his hometown of Jacksonville to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree.  Blake is on the Executive Board in the Transportation & Logistics Society and is also a member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity.  Outside of UNF, Blake is currently an intern at AV Logistics.  In addition, he is employed at One Ocean Resort & Spa and Atlantic Beach Ocean Rescue.  When he is not occupied with school or work, Blake enjoys swimming and relaxing at the beach.  Upon graduating in May 2016, he wants to pursue a career in the logistics field.
