Business Policy Instructions

The deadline to apply for Spring 2017 policy class is October 31, 2016.  Late applications will not be evaluated until the week after Spring registration and will not be guaranteed a seat in the class. (Spring registration begins by time ticket on November 14th.)  

 

To Apply for MAN 4720 and MAN 6726 

Important! Read page completely before applying for “Business Policy” class. 

 

 Spring 2017 Registration   

  • Only students expecting to graduate in Spring 2017 will be allowed to register for MAN 4720 or MAN 6726 (graduate students). Apply for graduation via myWings by March 27, 2017. 
  • Students must list all courses to be taken during Spring 2017, including the policy course.
  • Those who miss the deadline are not guaranteed space availability. (Deadline October 31st at)
  • Acceptance or denial decisions are made a few days prior to the beginning of registration.
  • Notification of the decision will be sent to your UNF e-mail.
  • Undergraduate students must have a UNF overall GPA and UNF upper level GPA of 2.0 or greater to register.
  • Graduate students must have a UNF overall GPA & a 6000 level GPA of 3.0 or greater to register.
 

Closed Policy Course Instructions

  • If your first choice is closed, either register for a different section or put yourself on a “wait list.”
  • If wait list is CLOSED, follow the Schedule Conflict or Work Conflict procedures immediately (see below).

Schedule Conflicts

 

A. Course Scheduling Conflict

  • If the section you need is closed, and other sections conflict with other required courses, sign-up on the “wait list” for the needed section.
  • Send a letter to the Department of Management, Building 42/Room 3002, Attention: Department Chair.
  • Provide the appropriate documentation as proof for the Department Chair.
  • Include your e-mail address in the letter.
  • If you are a graduate student, send this letter only to the graduate advisor.
 

B. Work Scheduling Conflict

  • If the section you need is closed, and other sections conflict with your work schedule, sign-up on the “wait list” for the needed section.
  • Send a letter to the Department of Management, Building 42/Room 3002, Attention: Department Chair.
  • The letter must be from your employer, on company letterhead, indicating your normal work hours and certifying that a change of work hours for class is not possible.
  • We also need a letter signed by you that describes the scheduling conflict.
  • Include your e-mail address & N# in the letter.
  • If you are a graduate student, send this letter only to the graduate advisor.
 

 

Undergraduate International Business Majors

Before policy approval can be given, you must have the required internship approval documentation from the International Business Internship Coordinator turned in to your advisor. If you plan to complete an internship in Spring 2017, approval to take policy will not be given until the internship coordinator has provided e-mail documentation of the internship.
