About
The University of North Florida Aquatic Center in Jacksonville, FL is hosting our first UNF Osprey Aquathlon on April 14, 2013 at 9 A.M. The run portion of the race is setup around the beautiful north side of the campus and passes straight through UNF’s Slough Preserve. At the beginning of the competition participants will start in the UNF Aquatic Center pool for a 350 meter swim. After the swim, competitors will transition into their running gear for the final leg. This race is for ages 16 and up that have the ability to swim at least 50 meters non-stop. Participants can challenge themselves with this competition which is made for the beginning tri-athlete, someone training for an upcoming triathlon or anyone looking to try a race with an added hurdle. This will be a competitive event that will be governed by the rules of USA Triathlon. We hope to have a great race and have a lot of fun!
- 350 meters swim and 5K run
- Transition area will be available one hour before the race begins
- Participants will snake their way down a 7 lane, 50 meter pool for the swim portion of the event
- The race will be professionally timed for accuracy
