Aquatic Center Facility Rentals
The UNF Aquatic Center is an indoor, Olympic-size swimming pool. The pool temperature is regulated at 83° F year-round. The pool is set up in short course 25-yard lap lanes most of the year. Seasonally, 50-meter long course lanes are run. The lap lanes range from 4 feet to 5 feet in depth. The deep end ranges between 12-13 feet deep. The pool is comprised of 14 short-course lanes and a deep end with 3 one-meter and 2 three-meter diving boards. The Aquatic Center is available for rent during operating and non-operating hours, for small and large events.
Rental rates include access to the pool, and locker rooms. “Drop-in” groups may be scheduled up to 3 times without a contract. Facility usage of 4 or more visits will require a contract or user agreement. User agreements require proof of tax exemption (if applicable) and public liability insurance.

Year-round rental groups qualify for discounted pricing with year-round contract.
Parking
There is a fee to park on campus Monday – Friday. A daily parking permit can be purchased for $3 (cash) by driving through an info booth at either main campus entrance (Kernan or 9A). The $3 day pass allows parking in the lots located around the Aquatic Center – lots 5 and 34 (behind the Arena). Contracted rental groups have two options for their leaders and participants: 1 - Purchase the day pass and park in the surrounding lots. 2 -Purchase a parking permit from the Aquatic Center front desk valid for the duration of your rental contract (up to 1 year). Rental parking permits cost $__ and are valid for different parking lots.

How to Reserve Space
Contact the Aquatics Director, Heather Kite, by e-mail at hkite@unf.edu to make your request. Please be as specific as possible by including the following information: desired date to start, expected end date, space needed (number of lap lanes or diving boards), dates and times needed. Make your request as early as possible to ensure sufficient time for the contract process.

Additional documents are required for high school coaches:
- Springboard diving coaches must show a current copy of their coach’s card for AAU or US Diving Association.
- Swim coaches must provide (at minimum) a copy of their current FHSA coach card.
Contract & Invoice
The Aquatics Director will calculate an estimated cost for the use of the facility, services, and equipment through a reservation permit (contract). The permit will be sent to USER (the requesting party) within 10 business days* of initiating reservation.
A turn-around of 10 business days is possible for seasons or semesters that are open for scheduling. Advanced requests for the next season or semester will be retained in the order they are made until the reservation system “opens” for that season or semester.
Once you have reserved space for your group or team, you will receive an e-mail with your reservation permit. The permit is your schedule and invoice document. Any modifications (additions or cancellations) to your reserved space must be communicated to the Director. Online access is available to view the reservation permit at any time.

Specific Insurance Requirements
USER shall provide UNF with proof of insurance prior to the use of the Facility. Such proof may be in the form of a Certificate of Insurance, which must be provided for all policies of insurance and renewals thereof in a form (s) acceptable to UNF and shall name the State of Florida, UNF and its officers, agents and employees as additional insured’s by written endorsement.
Information for Specific Groups
UNF Students and Student Groups
Student pool use is always FREE to currently enrolled students who swipe-in with their Osprey ID card. Student clubs and groups are eligible for FREE reserved pool space. Call (904) 620-2854 or e-mail the director with your request at hkite@unf.edu.
Military Group Training
Members of the military are welcome to swim any time during operating hours at a discounted fee of $2.75 per person when a military ID is presented. Groups are recommended to reserve pool space in advance.
School Swim / Dive Teams
Book your practices here to ensure warm water and no rain-outs. Make your request early to ensure available pool space. Volume discounts available. Contracts and insurance are required for school teams. Diving coaches are required to submit one of the following coaches’ cards: FHSA coach card, AAU or US Diving Association.
Youth Scouting Groups
Scouting Groups are welcome. Scout troops that schedule in advance may do so at a discounted scout rate of $2.75 per participant. Drop-in scout groups that do not schedule in advance will be required to pay the $4 per person (ages 12 and under) or $5 per person (ages 13 and up) daily guest rates.
