Scholarship:
Faculty Development Grants (Scholarship) are provided by the Office of Academic Affairs to support research, scholarship and artistic endeavors at UNF. Academic Affairs regards it as important for the university that these grants be widely distributed across the University’s disciplines, and that their use benefit the reputation of the University as well as the individual scholar or artist. Applications are encouraged from newer faculty and faculty beginning new lines of research. These grants are competitively awarded to the most meritorious proposals, providing a $7,500 stipend to selected faculty members to be allocated during the summer A term. Academic Affairs recognizes that not all faculty research can be conducted during the summer months and therefore considers applications for research conducted during the fall term also eligible for support.
Teaching:
Faculty Development Teaching Grants are provided by the Office of Academic Affairs to support faculty in developing improved or innovative instructional strategies for use in current or new courses. These proposals may focus on technology-based innovations or other forms of instructional innovation/improvement.
