The On Campus Transition’s Annual Fraternity & Sorority Life Volunteer Competition was created to help boost OCT mentor activity and involvement on UNF’s Campus due to the strong influence that fraternities and sororities have in leading our student body overall. It is our belief that students who are heavily active in organizations on campus- such as fraternities & sororities- are making a healthy attempt to get the most out of their college experience. These are exactly the type of individuals that we seek to guide our students here at OCT.
We hope that UNF Greeks will set an example for the rest of the student body to follow: helping improve the campus, the community, and the lives of students in need while gaining useful life experience and receiving a sense of self-accomplishment that will result in consistent community service throughout life.
To summarize The Competition, Greek Organizations are each given the opportunity to allocate a team of mentors to the OCT. Each team will gather points based on the amount of mentors it comprises as well as how many hours those mentors accumulate. To participate in The Competition, each volunteering student MUST be in an official UNF PNHC/PC/IFC/MGC fraternity or sorority, and MUST apply to OCT through our normal mentor application process. Just be sure to write/type your Greek Letters on the top left corner of the application! The winner of the OCT’s Annual Fraternity & Sorority Life Competition will be announced at the Greek Awards Ceremony.
