Yes, the program is open to anyone who aspires to teach ASL/English Interpreting in a college or university. The program is fully accessible.

In-state tuition rates may be available within the Southern Regional Education Board <www.sreb.org > area (AL, AR, DE, GA, KY, LA, MD, MS, OK, SC, TN, TX, WVA) through Academic Common Market (ACM). Upon admission, you will apply for ACM through your state representative.Contact Lilith Reigger <l.reigger@unf.edu>, Director of the Graduate School, for assistance. A reduced out–of-state tuition rate is available if you live outside of the region and do not qualify for ACM.

No. The Interpreting Pedagogy concentration requires students to enter and complete the program as a cohort and to take each course as it becomes available. If, for any reason, you are not able to maintain the course load, you may transfer into the General Practitioner Concentration and continue as a part-time student. This program is also available via distance learning.

No. Although VRSII is a full partner with UNF in the Interpreting Pedagogy program, there are no restrictions or benefits based on Sorenson employment. The program is open to anyone regardless of employment status and no preferences are given to Sorenson employees.

The beauty of this partnership is that many of your expenses are covered. There will be one summer session at VRSII  in Salt Lake City, UT. VRSII provides hotel accommodations, meal reimbursement, and classroom and lab facilities at no expense to students. Airfare to Salt Lake City is the responsibility of the student.
