We are so excited you have made UNF your choice for college! The next step is to sign up for Orientation. Orientation Registration for summer and fall students will be open January 2016. We will send you an e-mail and a postcard when reservations open! You will log in to your myWings account to sign up.
We hope the Orientation program helps you become familiar with UNF’s expectations, traditions and history. We want you to have a strong start as you begin your college life at UNF. We anticipate that you will greet the upcoming years with enthusiasm and confidence and that you will always be proud to be an Osprey! #SWOOP
UNF’s Freshmen Orientation is designed to provide you with key tools and resources necessary to have a successful academic career at UNF. Filled with informational sessions, academic advising, student life opportunities and meeting and interacting with other incoming Ospreys, this mandatory program is our perfect orientation.
Most New Student Orientation program consists of two days of activities. The first day consists of meeting with your Orientation Team Leader (OTLs), meeting fellow incoming Osprey students, learning about UNF's traditions and history, attending a class and housing. The second day is filled with exciting activities such as academic advising, participating in workshop sessions and the student life opportunities.
A few of the programs are for students and parents to attend together. However, there will be some activities that are just for students (academic advising is a student-only activity). During the time of the student-only programs there will be a separate Parents' Session. See the Parents Orientation web site for further details.
Since attending orientation is a factor in your academic success it is MANDATORY that UNF freshmen students attend all functions of the Orientation program. It is not mandatory that parents attend.
If attending an overnight orientation program and you require accessible housing, please contact us at (904) 620-1722 as soon as possible so that necessary arrangements can be made.
**Please note that sessions do fill up, and are then unavailable. Also, be sure to look at AP Test dates (May 11-12 is during AP Testing), prom, graduation and vacation schedules when selecting your session.
