Review the Student – Work Study job listings at www.unfjobs.org.
You will find listings for on-campus jobs, off-campus jobs, and
graduate student jobs. Work study positions are available for several
offices and organizations, including community service. Students who
have work study awards may choose to work with one of our community
work study partners, providing services to assist in the non-profit
Interested departments and community service organizations will contact you to schedule interviews. Work study
interviews are like any other job interview; you should show up
prepared to discuss your qualifications and ready to demonstrate that
you are the best candidate for the position.
Print a copy of your Detailed Class Schedule from myWings and take them with you to your interview. If
you are a new employee to the UNF payroll, you will need to have your
Social Security card and, for eligible non-citizen, your alien
registration card for Human Resources and payroll processing.
Before you may start working, your employer will submit a Personnel
Action Form to the Work Study Coordinator in One Stop Student Services.
One Stop will work with Human Resources to authorize your employment
and establish a payroll record for you. You may not begin working until your supervisor has received approval and the Work Study tracking form from the Work Study Coordinator.
Make sure your supervisor gives you instructions on how to set-up
your direct deposit of your paycheck and how to process your timesheet
to get paid. This is done through the myWings Employee Self Service
and your department should give you the instructions. *Remember, the deadline to accept your FWS
award is the second week of the Fall semester and the deadline to find a
job is the fourth week of the semester. Students who do not complete
these steps by the deadlines will see their Fall and Spring Federal
Work Study awards cancelled.
