The University of North Florida is committed to helping students finance their college education. The following sites contain valuable information about scholarships available to UNF students.
Visit One-Stop Student Services to get your admissions, records, or financial aid questions answered. One-Stop can assist with questions about grants, loans, and work study as well as the status of any scholarships you may be receiving. The One-Stop web page is also a great source of information. There, you will be able to find a comprehensive listing of scholarships available at UNF using the financial aid drop-down menu.
Admissions Scholarships: Admissions scholarships are typically merit-based and offered to students entering UNF for the first time only. They include awards such as the prestigious Presidential Scholarship, valued at $10,000, transfer scholarships, and more. The Presidential Scholarship is awarded on a funds-available basis. For further information, please contact the Admissions Scholarship Coordinator at (904) 620-2846 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pathways to Success Scholarships: The Pathways to Success Scholarship Program provides need-based scholarship opportunities to area high school students demonstrating financial need. The program currently offers a variety of scholarships designed to make education more accessible for students on the First Coast. For more information, please click here or contact Pathways to Success at (904) 620-2150 or Pathways@unf.edu.
A scholarship resource binder is maintained in the 2nd floor reference section for your convenience. Additionally, our library offers an online publication listing sources of information on scholarships, fellowships, grants and loans. Visit the Library Reference Department for information and resources.
Before your junior year, you may want to find out if there are any departmental scholarships, waivers, or fellowships offered by each of UNF’s 5 colleges.
FSAIC can help answer your questions about need-based federal student aid and the application process for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Their hotline is 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243 or TTY 1-800-730-8913). You may also apply online at no cost by filing a FAFSA or by visiting the US Department of Education’s website. Having the FAFSA on file with UNF is vital to our ability to offer student aid and/or scholarships. Most federal student aid is awarded based on financial need rather than scholastic achievement. Most grants, for instance, are geared toward low-income students. You do not need to show financial need to receive certain federal loans, however.
