The University of North Florida Career Services provides a variety of career services, programs,

and resources designed to help you develop a successful career even after you have


As an alumnus/a of the University of North Florida you have continuing access to a wide
range of  FREE career services and programs including:  

  • Job Postings- Career Services receives job postings from employers on a daily
    basis. Registered alumni may view jobs and apply online through "Career
  • Job Fairs-Career Services hosts a number of job fairs each year bringing
    employers to campus to meet with students to discuss job and career
  • Resume and cover letter critiques- have your resume or cover letter reviewed
    by a member of our staff
  • On-campus recruiting programs- sign up through "Career Wings" for
    on-campus interviews
  • Workshops/Seminars- Career Services sponsors workshops, seminars
    and panel presentations throughout the year. Check our Calendar of events for
  • Career Library-Career Services maintains a small but powerful Career Library
    with information on a wide range of careers.
  • Focus 2- On-line career development and assessment website.  Call Career
    Services for UNF login/code to gain free access to all assessments.

Effective January 2012, a modest fee for individual appointments
will be charged for alumni/ae who are one year after graduation. 
Fees will be assessed for:

Career Counseling-meet with a career counselor for help in making important career
decisions or making a career change.

  • Career Assessments-Career Counselors use the MBTI and the Strong Interest
    Inventory to help determine
    career interests. There are fees for taking the assessments. You must meet
    with a counselor before taking any assessments.
  • Job Search Counseling- meet with a job search counselor to review your
    resume/cover letter, prepare for interviews, and develop a job search campaign





NOTE: For UNF Alumni/ae who are within one year of graduation, all services with
the exception of Career Assessments, are still available at no charge.

Employ Florida Marketplace

Employ Florida (www.employflorida.com) is an online resource that links all of Florida's workforce services—state and local—to each other. The state partners are CareerSource Florida, the state policy and oversight board, and the Department of Economic Opportunity. At the local level there are twenty-four regional workforce boards that administer close to 100 "one-stop centers” in the CareerSource Florida system. Locally, CareerSource Northeast Florida (formerly WorkSource) serves six counties surrounding Jacksonville.

help you develop the develop employability skills and present yourself professionally to potential employers and be
successful after you graduate from The University of North Florida.
