What Can You Do With A Major In Health


This degree is designed to prepare graduates to work in administrative and management

positions in a variety of healthcare facilities. Students interested in long term care management

may select course work and an internship that will allow them to qualify to take the Florida 

Nursing Home Administrator’s licensing examination. An opportunity to pursue other special 

interests is provided with selection of 9-12 hours of elective course work.

Beginning Salary Range   


According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics the median annual salary is $92, 810.  
Payscale.com reported in February 2016 for nursing home administrators with a Bachelor
of Science in Health Care Administration earned a median annual salary of $62,500.
The lower end of the pay range was $48,404.    Health information managers at all degree
levels earned between $30,580 and $70,005.
