Chickenpox (Varicella) Alert
2 chickenpox cases have been diagnosed at Student Health Services. If you have previously had chickenpox, you are protected from getting the virus and need not worry. If you have received a chickenpox (varicella) vaccine in the past, you are very unlikely to contract the disease.

Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplaces (Exchanges) Now Open
The Health Insurance Marketplaces established by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) opened today, October 1, 2013. These exchanges are intended to provide consumers with a new way to shop for, compare costs and coverage benefits, and enroll in insurance coverage. Visit www.healthcare.gov for more information.
Additionally, the White House Office of Public Engagement has provided an important summary ACA 101: Health Insurance Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment Toolkit for Colleges, Universities, and Community Colleges for your review and dissemination as appropriate. Please also note that under the ACA, college-sponsored student health insurance plans also remain an option for coverage of students.
