Welcome to the Military and Veterans Resource Center!
The MVRC was established in 2009 to serve as the primary point of contact for active duty military, veterans and their family members on campus. The center is committed to ensuring that military-affiliated students successfully make the transition from the military environment to campus life and are assisted in their progress toward completing their academic degree.
The center's overall goal is to deliver tangible tools and services to optimize academic success leading to graduation and employment opportunities. This effort involves collaboration with the following offices:
The MVRC dedicated the Michael Ward and Jennifer Glock Patriot Outpost on September 19,2017. The MVRC common area was dedicated to donors Michael Ward and Jennifer Glock, who fund a scholarship for student veterans. The event featured remarks from President John Delaney, Director Bob Buehn and student scholarship recipients.
The MVRC, in conjunction with SBDC and the Coggin College of Business, was selected by Veterans Florida as one of six colleges and universities to participate in a statewide entrepreneurship program for veterans. The Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program offers tuition-free, online and on-campus instruction for free. Visit the Veterans Florida website to learn more.
Rob Keefe, Mary Mowbray and John Mowbray (L to R) - Rob Keefe was the first recipient of the Melvin M. and Mary E. Mowbray Scholarship. Rob presented Mrs. Mowbray with a Chief Petty Officer memento during a visit to the Military and Veterans Resource Center on February 10, 2017.
