UNF's Paralegal Certificate Program not only focuses on the theoretical side of the law, but a practical look at legal careers in action. Employment of paralegals and legal assistants is expected to grow by 17 percent from 2012 to 2020, faster than average for all occupations. The median pay in 2012 (most recent data) is $46,990 per year or $22.59 per hour. This occupation attracts many applicants, and competition for jobs will be strong. Experienced, formally trained paralegals with strong computer and database management skills should have the best job prospects. (www.bls.gov)

UNF Legal Studies Institute offers classes scheduled around the working person's hours, evening and online. Courses are taught by local judges and attorneys .
