About Clickers

Introduction 

Classroom Response Systems, aka clickers, provide a tool to engage students and assess knowledge. Instructors are able to ask objective and subjective questions. Questions may come from the instructor or as part of a publisher’s textbook package. Questions are displayed for each student to view and respond to with a remote control device. A receiver picks up the student’s response and sends it to software loaded on a computer, providing instant feedback to instructor and student. These systems are also known as audience response systems, classroom performance systems, student response systems, or just clickers.  

UNF has standardized with the eInstruction CPS system. The CPS software is installed on all classroom computers, and the receiver can be installed in any classroom being used by an instructor who has adopted the system. Faculty will find directions for adopting the system here and may contact  CIRT for more information. 

Students purchase clickers from the bookstore for $23.75 and register them online each semester for $10, or use the lifetime registration option for $21.
