Alumni Clubs and Regional Networks
Geographical or Social Interest
What is an Alumni Club?
Alumni Clubs are formed on a geographical or special
interest basis. Examples include: the Washington, D.C. Alumni Club and the
Military and Veterans Alumni Club.
UNF Alumni Clubs serve Alumni and promote and enhance the
objectives of the UNF Alumni Association and the University. Prior to forming a club, a group must meet the certification
requirements as outlined in the Alumni Association’s bylaws. Each club must hold a minimum of two events
each calendar year in order to maintain its certification. Clubs shall provide a detailed report of
their activities to the Alumni Association prior to the Association’s regular
and annual meetings.
What are Regional Alumni Networks?
Regional Alumni Networks are
groups of alums in a specific geographical location outside of the greater
Jacksonville (UNF) area. For example, alums living in Washington, D.C., New York City, Orlando, Tampa and Charlotte may be interested in
connecting with other alumni living or working in the area.
What are Regional Alumni Activities?
Regional activities refer to events occurring in various
geographical areas where a regional club may, or may not, exist. For example,
the Alumni Association and representatives of the university may host a
regional alumni reception in a city outside of Jacksonville in order to connect alumni back to the university.
UNF alums are able to stay
connected to other UNF alums, and the University of North Florida, by joining a
regional alumni network in their city.
If you are interested in hosting an event in your area, please call 1 (800) UNF-GRAD or e-mail email@example.com.
