Student Awards, Scholarships and Grants

Senior Service Award
The Alumni Association presents the Senior Service Award each commencement ceremony to a graduating senior who has made significant contributions to the University and/or the community through volunteerism while maintaining an outstanding academic record. The recipient receives a commemorative plaque, a check for $300, an engraved paver location in the Student Union Plaza and is recognized at the commencement ceremony.

Club Grants
The UNF Alumni Association is proud to offer grant funding for student clubs searching for sponsors to fund a specific project, trip, or cause. Two Club Grants, up to $1,000 per club, can be awarded.
Fall 2017 Recipients:
UNF
Coast, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute (COPRI) – UNF Chapter
In the spring they are planning to travel to New Orleans. Their current plan includes a visit with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regional Office, a guided discussion of Hurricane Katrina damage with Dr. Resio, meetings with officials from the Port of New Orleans, and a visit to Naval Facilities Command Facilities to discuss civil and port engineering projects.
Food
Fighters: Student-Powered Hunger Relief – UNF Chapter
They will use the funding to purchase biodegradable containers to serve the food, reusable trays to store the food waste in, and quality reusable serving utensils. Those improvements will help them make the food recovery program more sustainable in order to maximize their positive impact on campus and around the Jacksonville community.
