Student Club Grants
The Alumni Association awards grants to UNF student clubs each fall and spring semester. The students must complete an application packet and submit a two-minute video describing their need for the funds. The current spring club grant winners and videos are below. Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
Awarded annually at the Alumni Recognition Dinner during Homecoming, the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award is the highest honor given to a graduate of the University. To be nominated for this award, a UNF graduate must have made significant contributions to his or her profession, community and/or society, and have consistently maintained the pursuit of excellence as a representative and graduate of this University.

Nominations for this award can be made year-round. Candidate applications are screened by a committee comprised of UNF Alumni Association board members.
Young Alumni Achievement Award
Young Alumni Achievement Award is presented to alumni of UNF for outstanding professional achievement, contributions to the community and exemplary service to the University. The recipient must have completed his/her UNF degree within the last 10 years. Anyone may nominate a deserving UNF graduate.

Johnson Medallion
The Johnson Medallion is named in honor of Dorothy Johnson, class of 1974. It was established and presented to Dorothy in 2006 in honor of her long-standing commitment and dedication to the University of North Florida and to the Alumni Association. Going forward, the Johnson Medallion will be presented to those graduates of the University of North Florida who are intensely loyal and who demonstrate the same exemplary service as Dorothy. Nominations for the award shall be submitted to the Alumni Association Executive Committee for consideration. Nominees should possess the following characteristics:

- True commitment and sincere interest in the future of the University
- Long-term and consistent involvement
- Active participation and considerable personal time given
- Financially supportive across several areas of the University

Outstanding Alumni Award
The Outstanding Alumni Awards are presented to alumni of UNF for outstanding professional achievement, contributions to the community and exemplary service to the University. Recipients are selected by each college dean. Anyone may nominate a deserving UNF graduate.

To nominate someone for the Outstanding Alumni Award, please send a letter of recommendation to the dean of your college.
Honorary Alumni Award
This award is given to friends and supporters of UNF for exemplary service to the University. Special consideration is given to the number of lives impacted by their work. Consideration is also given to candidates who communicate the quality of education at UNF to others in the community. Honorary alumni have the privilege of the floor at all meetings of the Association, but they may not vote or hold office.

Nominate a candidate
Senior Service Award
The Senior Service Award is given at each commencement ceremony to a graduating senior who has made significant contributions to the University or the community through volunteerism while maintaining an outstanding academic record.
Nominations for this award can be made during the semester in which the candidate is graduating. Candidate applications are screened by a committee comprised of UNF Alumni Association board members, and, if necessary, interviews are conducted.

UNF Alumni Association Journey Scholarship
The UNF Alumni Association Board of Directors is accepting applications for its Summer 2012 Journey Scholarships. This award provides financial assistance ranging from $500 to $1500 for students enrolled in study-abroad programs or faculty-led classes that include a travel component. Scholarships will be awarded on a case-by-case basis and based on the availability of funds. Current application deadline is March 30.
