Special EducationLinksProfessionalThe mission of the North Florida Professional Development Partnership is to increase, support, and retain the number of highly qualified teachers and related services professionals for individuals with disabilities, birth through age 21, in northeast Florida. The partnership includes representatives from nine school districts (Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, and Union), parents, regional institutions of higher education, two FDLRS, Early Steps, the Department of Children and Family Services, and other related community stakeholders. www.pdpinfolink.com Early Steps is administered by Children's Medical Services (CMS) in accordance with IDEA, Part C. The Early Steps System serves Florida's infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with a developmental delay or a condition that places them at risk for developmental delay. Sixteen contracted local Early Steps across the state coordinate with community agencies and other contracted providers for the delivery of needed supports and services. www.cms-kids.com/EarlyStepsHome.htm
